Nice clean hands while hooking up the toad

A few weeks ago I was in the auto parts store and saw some cloth gloves at the register with the rubber coatings. I figured they'd be great for use at the truck stop when filling with diesel fuel.

Yesterday, I was about to hook up the toad when I thought of those gloves so I tried them out and it worked great. I hooked everything up and took off the gloves to reveal my perfectly clean hands ready for driving. No more wet wipes for me.

Send me the file and I'll fix it up.

Thanks, it took me a while to cut out just the coach and toad and make the background transparent. When are you putting yours up?

Your hitch must be a lot dirtier than mine. I can hook up and go inside to eat with clean hands.

I just make my wife do it after she is done dumping the black and gray tanks and rolling up the shore power cord and water hose.

I have the cloth ones you buy cheap at harbor freight. Usually put them on initially but they end up off somewhere along the line. Now if I could just convince my wife to hook up the toad ... Problem solved ;). But I'm too much of a do it yourself if you want it done right person.

I've used gloves to hook and unhook and fuel since I started RVing in 1976.

I found a similar glove that is nylon with the rubber coating on the palm side of the glove in Quartzsite, AZ, across from the Big Tent Event. Only $4.00. They work well and launder nicely.

I buy boxes and cans of nitrile gloves that are impervious to diesel. Some come in light, medium and heavy duty. The Mediums seem to work fine but the next box will be heavy ones from Harbor Freight. They don't cost much and you just peel them off and discard.
The Roadmaster setup is without a doubt the dirtiest chore to hook up. I wash it down when we are at destination and relube with silicone.

Agree that nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight is the way to go. I buy a box about every year and it costs about $10 +/-. They are great for hooking up, dumping and other dirty jobs. Use and discard or depending upon use they can be reused two or three time. I would not want to be without them!

Got a HF tote. Holds cables, pins, spares and a pair of work gloves. It also serves as a prop to hold up one arm while hooking up the other.
