Don't feel like you are the only one. I am on my fourth door. Last one they sent me a metal support to put on lower hinge If your's is a right hand hinge I have a support for it. they sent me one of each.

Howdy!

We've been there done that. I had one of the Norcold 1200 upper doors break first. I used JB weld to put it back together and its held up for four year no problems. Just recently one of the bottom door hinges broke. Once again I used JB weld to fix it. I used some Reflexic we use on our windows to cover the door opening while the JB weld was setting up over night. Installed the door the next morning. Never travel without JB weld.

Thought I was in a club by myself. MY Norcold lower door hinge broke off from the door, cheap plastic. I repaired it by making hinge out of
11/2" x 24" x 1/8" aluminum flat stock. Used the broken end as a pattern for shape and hole placement. Then cut total length to about
14" and the width to the width of the bottom of the door. Sheet metal
screwed the new hinge to the bottom of door and set it on the door peg ( used a couple of small washers on peg for height adjustment). Many happy miles later and still working fine.

There is a kit to re enforce an unbroken lower hinge although I think some have used it during a repair. A search on Amazon will give the info and part number.

When you load all kinds of weight on the door shelves and then bounce over the roads, the weal hinge is destined to break. Quit loading the door with stuff and the hinge will last forever.

I drilled through mine and put a thin bolt and nut through it. Covered nut with a little end cap from white closet shelf. Works for me. Doors are 2 expensive.

It's a known common problem, one guy glued his, don't know how it held up. Others bought new doors with same weak hinge. So far so good with ours. Knock on wood.

It's nothing new and having problems getting Norcold to do anything even when ours was still within warranty, I wish you luck now if it's out of warranty. We were told early on not to load the doors with heavy items even when sitting. We unload every thing from the door shelves when traveling down the road.
