I have been pining for a Scenicruiser for years and yesterday I got one. #149 is now mine.
It will need a fair amount of work but There are so few of them left that I couldn't walk away. Now I just have to convince the wife that I am not an idiot and still useful.
Could be I just bought my new home. Oh well, could be worse, I could have had the hots for a corvette.

Just saw another one of those old coaches sitting at a salvage/towing yard in Chickasha Oklahoma about two weeks ago. Looks like it only arrived there recently. Wish someone would rescue it.

Can't wait to see updates on how this one is revived.

#149 is on shipping wars on A&E network tonight 10/2 and a couple of more times over the next several days. Same episode as the wedding cake.

That thing is just dripping with cool factor. It's going to be quite a project and I'll bet you never see another one like yours on the road. I'll be watching this thread for updates. It's something I'd never tackle, but I do love seeing these projects as they progress.

Finally got a chance to check out some of the RV features on the bus. The electric seems to work right, two air conditioners function, the fridge got chilly, and so far lots of the lights turn on.

One thing that needed to go was the Driver's seat. I'm sure this is the DOT approved Seat Mount, but whoever hooked it to the floor with two small angle brackets needs to find work elsewhere.




Problem is, when I got the seat out I found the floor was rotted so it will have to come up.

Started the Demolition so I can replace the floor and some of the walls. Looks like I will be investing in some plywood.
