Oil change at Camper World

Hi folks.
I normally use RV Specialists in San Diego for service on our Monaco DP.
They charge about $600 for an oil change and lube. Includes a general inspection of the motorhome, including belts, hoses and brakes. ( without removing tires) included in the charge is $240 for labor. Does not include fuel filters.

Camper World does an oil change and lube for $169.

What says you?

I pay $300 for SpeedCo to change the oil, oil filters, fuel filters and lube the chassis. They also check the SCA in the coolant. That includes 40 quarts of oil and the filters...SCA additive is extra.....Dennis

I've heard a lot of good reports on SpeedCo.
Wish they were in San Diego..
I was getting work done at Rush Truck Centers. They charged about $350 for oil change and fuel filters.
But they really don't want to work on Motorhomes anymore. So unfortunately we are limited to RV dealerships. And you know their rates and a place like RV Solutions that know they have a captive audience.

Camper World or Camping World? If Camping World I would never let them do anything mechanical to my coach.

Beware of oil changes that are too cheap. They may be missing extra fuel filters and what ever else.
OTOH I wouldn't let CW change the oil on my lawn mower.

I say you need to find some other place in San Diego. I have mine done at Cummins Coach Care for under $400. That Camper World price is too low, got to be for a gas coach. Speedco is around $295 for a lube, oil & filters change.

It's for a DP. Up to 20 qts of oil. Does not include the fuel filters.
The price does seem low. Many times if it sounds too good to be true...........
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the service.

So what is the problem? You can probably get camping world to charge more if you ask nice.

I'd say at $600 you're being way over charged.
