Caution when crossing the Hood River to White Salmon bridge over the Columbia river PULL YOUR MIRRORS IN. Had my window down while doing 25mph over this bridge and slam, I have a lap full of mirror glass. very narrow bridge especially for a class c with typical mirrors. Now I have a stump on the drivers side with 5 wires sticking out of the stump I think I got lucky though there was no damage to the arm itself just the mirror.
Pulled into the Bridge RV park (nice park by the way)at the end of the bridge (yes that was our destination) and waited to see if anyone would pick up the mirror and follow us. Instead someone picked it up going the other way and dropped it off at the toll booth. Haven't seen it yet but I hope my ever present roll of duct tape can help reattach it until I get home. (100 miles) if not I'll have to stay in the slow lane all the way home.
Next time I'll fold the mirror in as I start across any narrow bridge. Don't really need to see where I have been on a bridge anyway.
How's that for a 60th birthday gift, tomorrow?
Happy camping

Thanks folks. Any suggestions of where to find a factory replacement? Haven't had to look for factory parts yet. I think it is a Velvac so I will start there I guess.

Here is a link to Velvac that may be of help. Good luck

Take a look on Craig's list in the Portland area. I saw some used RV mirrors on there a day or two ago. Not sure if they will work for you or not, but worth a shot. Good luck!

Sorry for your trouble, and, duct tape is a must. It isn't worth much for ducts, but is great for holding broken things on mistakes.

I would have thought that there might have been a warning sign...but apparently not.

That happened to me one time going thru a toll booth. Fortunately, I was going slow enough not to break snything and was able to pull the mirror in. Sorry for your mishap.

If your mirror's that powered Velvac, you're fortunate if the spring-load pivot at the coach body end didn't break. Just might get away with only a head.

I locked the mirror on a pickup truck up with a rope holding a tarp on a semi trailer. The loud bang is scary.

If there's any kind of supply place, even a WalMart with auto dept, you ought to be able to buy something that'd help you out. I have a couple stick-on spot mirrors that'd be better than nothing. Think I'll put them in my junk tray under the RV couch. Might be able to help somebody.
