newman fulltimer was right it was the little black box, I think it is called a heat sensor, by passed the box Refrigerator came on, took the box apart a little damp inside dyed it out and hooked back up didn't work, I noticed when I had it a part that they was a bulge in the capacitor or relay every which one it is. So I ordered a new one. Would like to thank all for the information. Especially Cloud Dancer for his expert advice. Every body have a safe summer. Roy

It would be nice to know a part# or where you can order one of these. Mine went bad about two months ago.

Contact Norcold directly.

Explain that your 'recall control box' is not functioning.

Norcold should authorize replacement for free.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

The part number for the Norcoid thermal sensor is 634677 Rev D 1053 031. I don't know how much of that number you need, I got a local Mobile home dealer to order mine, you can Google the part. There is a lot of info on lrv2 (Norcold thermal sensor failure) I could have saved some money if I had done some research. Hope this helps. Roy

1J2654, I ordered the little black box with the red light on it. I think it is called a heat sensor, when there is a heat problem or like me water got in the box it will shut the unit down and the red lite comes on. Hope this helps. Roy

The suggestion about the magnet and a suggestion to cut the 12 power for a few minutes, was received after I ordered the part, so don't know if they would have worked or not. Any way part on way. Roy

Thanks for the update. It's always good to know what fixed a problem.

It's only revision E & F of the Norcold Band-Aid that can be reset with a magnet. Yes that's six versions of their recall, gives you a real sense of safety and confidence in Norcold.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Sometimes after they dry you can take a magnet to the back of the black box and unstick it. Just hold a strong magnet in the upper corner (I forget which one) and it will click. When this happens it works fine. No need for a new one.

Well that was an expensive MH wash job.

Norcold sending you another recall box for free?
