RV Parks along the Keys, Florida

Hello everyone: We are looking for an RV Park in any of the Keys in Florida for a one week stay. We are all over Florida this coming winter but for one week, friends of ours will be joining us and would like to stay at a nice place in the Keys. Kayaking and snorkelling right from the Rv park would be great, but if close by that is ok too.

Any suggestions my fellow RV'rs:)

Thanks Rick and Vikki

Bluewater key is fabulous! There are two different sites to reserve from, but hard to get in this time of year.

Going to Fiesta Key in January, it looks like a nice place right by the ocean.

I second Jolly Roger. In addition, they accept Passport America for 50% off for 5 nights out of your week (except waterfront sites).

Edit: They changed their PA restrictions to exclude winter months (Dec through Mar), but I wouldn't let that stop me from going there. They would be my first choice.

I just got booked two weeks ago for the second week of January at Fiesta Key RV park. They had a few spaces left.

Another vote for Knights on Marathon. Its at the base of the 7 mile bridge, you can walk to dining and bar. Lots to do on Marathon.

Knights Key in Marathon is very nice. Great marina, restaurant and bar are either within the park or within walking distance.

Take the boat out to Knights Key itself for a great history lesson on "Flagler's Folly".

Bluewater Key is pricey and excellent.

State Parks will be impossible to get a spot in the winter.

John Pennenkamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo has what you're looking for. Rent kayaks right inside the campground. Good luck on getting one spot let alone two. You might need to move a couple times during your week as you most likely will only be able to find a one or two night stay at any one site..You book site specific on their reservation system and usually will find the weekends are booked solid....Dennis

It is good that you are looking early but it might already be too late for a "nice" place......for only one week during their peak season.

Be serious about your search for a few days or a week or it WILL be too late.

Google Jolly Rogers near Marathon. I would call asap as they fill up fast in the winter time,
