I realize that much has been posted in the past about the annoying RSN(Rumble strip noise) of most Sprinters with the Nag-1 txn due to aggressive torque converter which causes the noise at low speeds/rpm. I distilled the comments and found that if the txn fluid was the CORRECT type ie from Mercedes Benz and filled to the correct level the problem became minimal at the worst. I never have a problem, nor do others with the reliability of the txn. I am waiting for a new LTV Unity TB, which is, unfortunately bigger than a B but not much different than a 22ft9in Sprinter or many iterations of the Sprinter with the f/glas exterior.
2. Has anybody noticed how muich smoother the txn is with the proper LEVEL of txn fluid, at least. Mine was down 1.4 litres which is about 2 quarts and no leakage which means insufficient filling on the change.
3, My synthetic oil change was 0W30 MB oil.
I hope this helps somebody. The RV runs like a sewing machine.
Me, not so much...
