I have a 2002 Winnebago Sightseer with the Ford chassis. Tire in rear on passenger side blew out last week and destroyed the exterior storage compartment. The storage compartment door is still in tact but the box itself is crumpled. I took a look in the Winnebago catalog but couldn't find anything on purchasing a new storage box. Is this something that can be purchased and bolted in as a replacement part? I'm thinking someone else had to have had a blowout before and incurred the same damage as I.
I appreciate your advice. Thanks.

I've never figured out why the "rules" seem to be different for RV's than for cars.
If armoring a wheel well is so bleedin' expensive/difficult, why doesn't, say, a $10,000.00 Hyundai "have this problem"?

This is one thing that continues to puzzle me. A quarter inch steel wheel housing would save lots, of destruction, in RVs and even lives, yet Mfgs haven't addressed the situation.
I'm in no situation to do it now or I would have something like it built into our MH. What's 500.00 in a 500,000.00 or greater RV.
