Tire Pressure Monitoring System Question

I have the TireMinder TM77 pressure monitoring system and am getting ready to install the transmitters the rear duals. To catch the outside tires (which are mounted with the valve stems on the inside) I added Wheelmaster 135 degree valve stem extensions which fit nicely. I do worry that the weight of the transmitter will cause the extension to move up or down which may loosen the extension on the tire valve and cause a leak. Has anyone used this setup? Any problems or successes? Appreciate your help.

I checked once before leaving for the road and I stopped in the first half hour to just feel the temps. I found out that in the process of checking the pressure a valve would stick and I'd have a low tire. This was the biggest reason for buying the TPMS.

And yes on the air compressor.

X2. I had one stuck with a very slow leak that could not be heard.

I'll give it a try. Harder to add air when necessary but less to go wrong. I like it.

I was able to reach up between the dual tires and screw the sensors on without adding any extensions. I figure the fewer connections the less likely to have a leak. It took a little effort but I don't have to do it that often. If I could not reach the valves I would have removed and reinstalled the tire and wheel.

I've never had anything but problems with extensions of all kinds.

That is what I did.

To the OP"
They come with a stabilizer that fits in the hand hold and supports the valve stem.

Tire Minder TMG 400C comes highly recommended.

Tire Minder

Also see Bendix TPMS which is mounted inside the tire.

Find the correct set for your rig and buy them and you will not have an issue with the TPMS senders. Lets try this link

That's my fear exactly. I'll go thru the link you sent and use a support if I do the duals. I'm starting to doubt that there is a risk free way of doing this and may just monitor the front tires where I can screw the transmitters directly to the tire valve stem.

I have mine on a braided extension off the 135° valve extender and affixed to the hub. I've already had one leak in that configuration, so I would think the centrifugal force will be too much with the transmitter hanging off the extender.

At the very least get a set of these.
