Toilet Upgrade Question

I have a 2006 Four Winds Hurricane 30Q with a Thetford toilet. The toilet sits on a pedestal about 5" high and the waste outlet is 7-5/8" off the back of the toilet / back wall. The replacement toilet I would like to use us a Dometic model that requires at least 11" from the rear to the waste inlet. Is it possible (or feasible) to relocate the waste inlet or is it hard attached to the storage tank? Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The toilet dumps straight down into the black tank. The distance from the center of the pipe to the wall is what it is.

Yes, there are exceptions. Sometimes.

I was looking at upgrading to the Dometic 320; seems to be the nicest of the bunch. Huge price different between Camping World and others' online pricing; check online before you buy. Free shipping and no sales tax online helps, too. Guess I won't have to worry about it now as I sure don't want to tear out the entire platform only to possibly find out there's no room to adjust the inlet location anyway.

Thanks for the reply. That's about what I figured. The existing toilet works fine, just wanted to upgrade to a china unit with an elongated bowl but most likely not worth the hassle. Have a nice evening.

Toilet dump line to waste tank is a more than likely straight short drop. They can be glued fittings OR installed using grommet type seal.

Relocating it would require removal of 'pedestal/base' replumbing dump line with a couple of 45* elbows, rebuilding pedestal, attaching floor flange.

This is IF there is enough room to accommodate the reworked plumbing.

An other option IF there is room on top of waste tank:
Redoing dump line to an new cut-out opening in top of tank so dump lie is straight and then sealing up old dump line entry with a disc screwed/caulked on to top of tank.

OR do a complete rebuild on current toilet........replace with a direct replacement toilet.

Options limited.
Is it time for your medication or mine?
