Water hook ups

The wife and I just purchased our first diesel pusher. We have 25 yrs of RVing under our belt. This is our 6th RV. We final stepped up to a diesel pusher. This is a new learning experience for both of us.
I apologize if it has already been asked before. On all of our past RV, when you hooked up the city water it would bypass the water pump and rely on city water for pressure. However this RV seems to be different or I am doing something wrong.
It seems like the water pump is still kicking on. Is this common?

Attached is a picture on how I have the valves set.

If the pump is off why is it trying to run?

Also 4 pump switches???????:h

I have 4 pump switches also.
4 switches in my coach also
Pretty normal for 3 or 4 or even 5 in a 1 and 1/2 bath.

Kitchen
Toilet Room
Vanity,
Water bay
I've got a bath and a half and I only have 4 switches. One in the master bath, one in the half bath, one by the kitchen and one by the pump outside. Where's the fifth one? I guess if you count the silverleaf system, I've got two more but those are on a tablet screen. So I guess you could say I have six.

OK OK you win I get it. Learn something every day and lose it all the following day.

Not mine. I can turn the water pump off or on from any of the three switches.

Some have a switch at the vanity but in yours the rear bath probably covers that as well.

Our previous coach had a pump override switch in the water bay that was added by a previous owner to run the pump when winterizing. It bypassed both of the inside pump switches, disabling them when it was left on. I found it handy enough when servicing the pump plumbing that I'm going to add one like it to this coach.

Suggest you go to a National motorhome forum and ask your question. It seems like if the water pump is shutoff then it should not run.
