Due to health reason my wife and I are selling our beloved Class C. The lady said she would see us Tuesday with cash in hand. For two days now we have been emptying, cleaning and reminicising. My goodness I never realized just how overloaded we were. Anyway, it has been a great 40 years. Great memories and lots of friends have been made. So to everyone on this forum stay safe and happy camping.

Life is change, work with it.
There is always, always, way more to do than one can ever manage to fully explore.

Prayers and good wishes for your wife and you.
My wife of 58 years passed last year. Spent 12 years traveling with our MH.. Sold MH in 2017 because of her heath and mine. I have mostly recovered. The great trips and friends we met during those years have left me with good memories and friends. I am still active in a several RV forums. Helps to fill in those times when memories are not enough.

My wife of 45 years died unexpectedly last year. Many of the flashbacks I have involve our 15 years of Motorhome trips. They are very comforting and pleasant.

I am so glad we did so much and did not wait till we retired, as so many do.

The good news is you still have your wife to share those memories with. I miss that everyday. You are a lucky couple to have done so much and still have each other to share with

Sorry to hear of the wife’s health issues.....Thoughts and Prayers for improved heath and comfort.

Ending this chapter in our lives, is something we all will face. The older we get, the faster the sand flows through the hour glass! Cherish the good times and memories. At least you made the memories....many folks never have the opportunity! memtb

Plese do not hang up the key-board as has been suggested, your experiences and knowledge can and will help those starting this great adventure in travelling and exploring to be better informed through your answers and future contributions on these forums.

Kit Carson,
Once yore an rv’er you are always an rv’er. You have been a contributor here for many years and more years as an rv’er. You might have to hang up the rv keys but keep your keyboard keys at hand. You have more than earned your place here. You are welcome here forever.

I guess time2roll sums it up best.
I hope these posts offer you some strength.
Even though we have never met face to face we all have a common interest, to help and show support for one another .

Sorry to hear you have to hang up the keys. BUT, there may come a day, things will change. In May of 2008, the doctors told me my husband could never travel again due to health reasons. Traded the Class A motorhome for a fifth-wheel, did get a truck. Lived in FL. In Novemeber of that same year, we made a trip to Branson, MO in the fiver, then another year to TX (again) and several more trips
until his passing in 2015. Never know! Good luck to you and yours.

Sorry to hear that!

It's even sad to imagine it.

I am thankful for our Class C that we bought after my wife had a stroke. She needed to have a bathroom close by in order to start camping/traveling again. With a lot of hard work, she gets around much better now and she decided she wanted to switch to a TT. We have put over 20,000 miles on in the last 2 years and are planning trips this summer and next. We plan on traveling as long as we both can enjoy it. At some point, we all have to decide. I am glad that you had the experience together and you will have together time in the future.
