Installed the remote control and relay to control the new power cord reel, tested same and VOILA! it works. This addition will save me a lot of bending over and grunting to wind up that bulky 50 amp power cord. Should have installed one of these motorized power cord reels long ago.
Sold our 2001 National Tradewinds, might buy a new on someday.

I installed a new gasket kit on our 2010 Sealand toilet. The ball/gasket setup was not holding water over several hours. I ordered the kit and had it within two days. It took me about one hour to change out the three gaskets. It holds water now. Got to get ready for our up coming trip up the coast of California and work our way up to Washington for the summer. Plan to spend at least four weeks at Newport,Oregon at the Whalers Rest RV park. Tour the Red Woods etc etc. We will use all the 1000trails resorts, leisure time and NACO. Can hardly wait to get going in about another week. Next thing I will do to my coach is crawl under and lube ever grease fitting.

Thanks for the encouragement. I need all I can get at the moment. This sitting around and trying to watch daytime TV is not in my lifestyle. However, when I compare where I am now in mobility compared to 5 days ago, there have been some significant improvement. I'm looking forward to next week when I get the staples out.

Last night I pressure washed the undercarriage and double checked the hose connections from the coolant exchange the night before. Everything looked good so ready to move on to polishing the wheels then get the Jeep ready for next weekend. Mike.

Well, we're going to have rain turning to snow this afternoon. 1-3" by tomorrow morning. So the planned de-winterization is delayed until next week. Our first campout is scheduled for the 14th so it has to be next week.

After waiting all winter to get to busy on the old Holiday Rambler, I went and had a total knee replacement last Friday. I had no idea how disabling this procedure leaves you for the first month. I can't do anything yet. Tomorrow will be 1 week since I went under the knife. I spend my days going to Physical Therapy, blood work, and trying to haul myself from room to room. What used to take 5 seconds now takes at least 15 minutes. It is so frustrating to see the projects that need being done on the MH and I can't even stand up to wash the windshield. They keep telling me I'll be better in a couple of weeks, but I'm impatient.

Over the last two evenings I have drained the coolant, filled with cleaner/flush, ran engine, drained again, filled with water & ran, drained again, filled with water & ran, drained yet again and then added the new Fleetguard ELC coolant, filter and changed the thermostat. In between filling, running to temp, draining cycles I lubed all compartment doors, checked batteries, checked lube in wheel bearings and repaired a connection at one of my front overhead marker lights.

Last night after filling with new coolant I took it for a test drive to get it to operating temperature and fueled it getting ready for next weekend's outing. Tonight the undercarriage gets a bath because of the snowstorm we were caught in last trip out, it made a mess of the undercarriage and engine bay.

Then it looks like I need to get after the aluminum wheels, they are looking a little dull. Mike.
