I get my tubing at Lowes or Home Depot. I bought the better crimp tool also.

Anyone know of a good source for plex tubing and fittings?

Our local Ace Hardware and True Value Hardware stores both carry PEX tubing and Watts/Sea Tech compatible fittings. SharkBite also makes PEX fittings that like the Watts and Sea Tech fittings, require no tools except a sharp knife.

I added an accumulator tank next to the water pump. It reduces the amount of times the pump cycles.

This is a variable speed pump. The manufacturer recommends not using an accumulator.

I relocated the pump to a different place in the same compartment. It was previously mounted back by the inverter now it is right behind the rear wheels. Since it wasn't the original pump I don't know if that was the original location.

The previous owner disconnected the "electric" winterizing valves and put a manual one in its place. The mounting of the valve and the re-plumbing job was well... lets just say he probably only got a "C" in Shop class.

My main concern is that there is braided hose attached to fittings designed for Plex hose where the PO patched in the manual hot water bypass valve. I planned on replacing the hose but my local Lowes doesn't have the right hose or fittings.

Anyone know of a good source for plex tubing and fittings?

My son in law has told me to be very careful using Simple Green near or on aluminum as it is very caustic on aluminum. Has any one else heard that?

My replacement ShurFlow arrived yesterday so I set out to install it and remove some of the plumbing modifications made by the previous owner. Right after I get the old pump out the sky opens up for our dose of daily rain.

Cleaned the rear radiator with Simple Green and water. Also adjusted the driving lights on our coach. Should provide more light on the road directly in front of our coach while driving at night.

Also installed a new passenger seat belt as one of our Golden's decided it was a chew toy last year.

I re-wired a 12 volt circuit, it included the bath fan, cos light & switch, shower light and a hall light. There was a short in the circuit and I could not get to all the wires to chase it down so I just abandoned all the old wires and ran new ones.

DW is happy to have the hall light and cos light working again and I am glad to be done! Next up, headers I think.
