Moved the MH out of its garage. Did some loading of stuff for our first camping trip this coming Friday. Put some bleach in the water tank and filled the water tank up with well water. Ran the fresh water through faucets and toilet sprayer. Ran water into the empty H2O heater and fired up the heater. Ran the furnace for a few minutes - it works just great. Fired up the generator for about 30 minutes. Ran the electric heater at the same time. Will put about 1/4 of water into the fresh tank for the trip to the full service campground (Hinckley Casino RV Park). Parked it back into the garage as this old fart is really tired. Maybe tomorrow I'll roll the compressor over to adjust the tire pressure. DS is coming over tomorrow to change the oil/filter and grease the chassis.

This year it looks like it will be cool and damp for our first camp out - darn. Last year was warm and sunny.

Put three coats of Red Max on the whole drivers side. From the top of the basement doors to the Dicor sealer on the top. Will finish the basement doors tomarrow if I am able to move. It looks grand!
Yesterday the DW and I looked at new Jeeps for a toad. There is just way to many play toys in the new ones for me. All I wanted was a hard top Wrangler with AC and a radio. Do you really need 10 speakers in that little space??? Well, a good used one is what I am looking for now.

Got busy preping for a trip to Charlotte for the Coca Cola 600. Hooked up the city water and flushed the lines and checked for leakes. Sanitized the fresh water tank and ran the pump. Treated The black tank with calgon, laundry soap, and bleach. Unloaded everything stored there for the winter and sorted out what wasn`t needed on the maiden trip. All in all a productive day and everything works just like when I parked it.

Cleand sink and shower traps, geo mix for both tanks and traps, sealed a couple voids around skylight, paired dash bluetooth with new smart phone and trimed solar screens on driver and passenger side windows. Bought material for jack pads and leveling boards. Departure days to go; six and counting. Damn the gas prices, full trip ahead.

On our last trip out our Kwikee steps stuck out. I diconnected the motor and tied it up with a couple of bungees to get down the road.

Last weekend I went through and tested the electrical out, everything was fine so it looks like the motor is bad. I checked online and considered going with a Ford power window for a replacement motor but I didn't want to risk a compatibility issue.

I ended up going with a Kwikee replacement from American RV Co. The cost was only about $15 more than the one from the parts store that fit a Ford. I was the exact replacement with a few upgrades. I spent yesterday cleaning things up and putting it back together. I lubed the gear box and the stair assembly.

Now I think I'm good for another 7 years or so.

Parked her in a very nice RV park for a week. Next, we'll be looking for a truck/RV wash. This trip really covered her and the toad in filth. Made notes about things that will need fixing when we get home. Screwed the bedroom a/c vent cover back in place, and went around looking for other loose screws (not counting the one holding the screwdriver).
