Iโve never been very happy with the OE drawer slides in my coach. I really like the soft-closing slides being installed in new homes, so I decided it was time to upgrade my RVโs drawers.
Below is a photo of one of the areas where I plan to upgrade my drawer slides. This is in the bedroom, right above the water heater. This area is occupied by a washer/dryer on models ordered with that option. If you happen to notice that the water supply hose to the water heater us missing in this photo, youโre very observant. I removed it while the drawers were out, as Iโve been meaning to replace the cheap vinyl supply hose with a steel braided hose. If you look at the top center of each drawer opening, youโll see the OE brass catches that prevent the drawers from opening while in transit. I plan on retaining these, even though Iโm not sure theyโll still be needed.
This photo shows the OE 1x2 wooden supports for the OE drawer slides. Not only are they weak and flimsy, the replacement slides are longer with screw holes that are spaced further apart. This forced me to beef up the supports.
This photo shows the additional 1x2 support added. It is the pale piece of wood shown butted up against the existing support. This is where the help of my son came in handy, as he is much better at woodworking than me and he is much more nimble at getting into tight spaces! This photo only shows the left side, but rest assured we added wood to both sides.
I really liked the feel of the CenterLine Comfort Close Slides. They were $20 per pair. They are 75 lb slides which should be more than enough. They have a smooth self-closing design and require an extra tug to open, which may or may not eliminate the need for travel catches. But as I said earlier, Iโm going to retain them to be on the safe side.
My son & I only installed one set of slides, to make sure they are exactly what I want. I really like them, so I will be buying a set for every drawer I have, with the exception of a couple of very small drawers. My son is also going to reinforce the bottoms of my largest drawers, as they flex to easily, which could result in them caving in. Thank God for good sons who love doing this sort of thing!

TV was mounted in cabinet in center above dash/doghouse, up at the ceiling. That was too high for comfortable viewing, you were always looking up. I wanted a mount that would come down not just side to side. Found one on Amazon but when I went back to order it was no longer available. I keep kicking myself over that. So I used a wall mount fastened to the bottom of the cabinet, turned 90* so it will come down instead of side to side. I can swivel the TV 90* lift it up and push it back into the cabinet for travel.
I don't have picture but can take one of the mount later today. TV is not attached right now, it's in the house. Think you'll get the idea though when you see the mount and how it's installed.
Guess I'll have to figure out how to post an image, haven't done that on this forum before.

Second pic is how mount is installed in cabinet.
The TV will swing up and sit flat against front of cabinet. In order for the mount to hold the TV there the tension on the arms has to be really tightened up since mount is designed for side to side movement not up and down. With the tension that high you really have to pull on the TV to move it, I didn't like that idea. So I decided I would just swivel TV 90* and swing it back into the cabinet to get it out of the way or for travel. I may look at adding a strap or something to mounting plate to hold TV up when traveling or maybe I won't.
