After watching the tank drain dribble for 2 days I figured it was time to change out some of the pex fittings so I can quickly drain, fill with anti-freeze, and repeat as necessary as we travel out of and in to this "semi-frigid" north. I figure it'll only take a couple more trips to the hardware store to finally get it right ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad I already have the PEX tools and left over supplies from 2 plumbing jobs.

Emptied all of the tanks, Moved into the barn and blew out all of the water lines. Poured Anti-freeze into all of the drains and opened all of the vents and windows for the winter. Checked the water in the house batteries and plugged the unit into the shore power outlet. I guess it is over for the season. Now to get started on the winter work list. Need to remove several items and move them to the basement so I can pick at them over the winter.

Replaced the bedroom Fantastic ceiling vent. You will note that I have a 34 year old coach. A prior owner had replaced the factory non-powered vent with a Fantastic many, many years ago. A couple of years ago I had purchased the upgrade kit to change the standard fan to a remote operated one, but for various reasons I had not yet installed it.

Fast forwarding to a month ago, the dome switch had stopped working properly. I had a new one left over from reparing a different Fantastic. I started to install it in the old unit, but it wouldn't work as the hole for the old, original one was larger than the switch that I had. I called them and described the situation.

They said that they no longer made the larger switch, but that if I shipped them the entire unit they would fix everything that needed fixing and return it no charge. I really didn't want to go through the removal of the fan unit from the roof, but that offer I couldn't pass up. I removed the unit and shipped it along with the upgrade kit I had purchased a few years ago and requested that they install the upgrade kit while doing any other repairs.

Five days later, I received a package. It was not my repaired and upgraded unit, but a completely new remote controlled unit fresh from production! I have now installed the new unit and love it. Besides being remotely controlled, if you set the temp you like it takes itself up through ten separet speeds to maintain the desired temp. Very nice.

NO other company stands behind their products like Fantastic does. I am a customer for life.

Today I removed the rear dinette seat. Wish I had done this two weeks ago, before the carpet cleaner came. I now have a 12" square patch of carpet that is darker than the rest of the coach. Used the Dyson vac, then carpet cleaner, looking better. Now I need to find a chair that my wife will like. This change makes the coach seem bigger, and the hallway more accessible when the full wall slide is in.

The replacement headlight finally showed up today, so I got busy and installed it. Gotta love it when you have to alter a brand new part to match the redneck engineering that occurred at the factory.
