Fiberglassed a tree branch souvenir hole in the cowling that allows the heat to rise from the reefer.

Today I waxed the fiberglass roof with Blue Coral wax. I needed to get that carnauba wax that is in the Blue Coral so that it protects the fiberglass roof from the UV rays.
Next job will be to crawl under the coach and lubricate all the fittings and change the filter and engine oil.
I am eventually going to change all the fluids like drain the anti freeze and add some new stuff. I also want to change the air dryer filter. Not sure if I can do that myself. It looks like a hard job.

Removed batteries cleaned compartment, painted battery hold down bracket, checked fluid level topped off with distilled water and reinstalled. Whew!!!

Finished the transmission fluid/filter change. We are upgrading to the Transynd 295 synthetic fluide so my wallet is still hurting from the cost of the fluid.

Also checked the differential fluid level and added 1 qt of Lucas synthetic fluid. Looks like we have a leak around the rear streetside leveler, but its still maintaining pressure and holding the coach.

All of this is in preparation for our trip to Lincoln, NE for the season opener of the Husker football season!

Replaced the remote wire from the inverter to the overhead control panel. Wasnt as easy as I thought it would be, but learned some more about how my rv is constructed 😉

Picked it up from the CAT shop and put it back in storage for a couple weeks, Then off we go again.

Repaired the damages from last weekend's trip. The dog punched holes in the screendoor, replaced the screen. The handle on the antenna stripped (when the wife raises the antenna, which she never does, and then I pop in and raise the already raised antenna, the handle strips. Come to find Weinguard did a nice design job, so I just had to file off the rough spots and tighten the setscrew. The generator decided not to start using the inside control, not a problem 'cause we had electric this time. I just went thru and cleaned and tightened every ground I could reach, all better now. When in doubt, check the ground.

Idled engine to exercise it and recharge chassis battery. Inadvertently overfilled reservoir for jacks (oops). Relevelled coach.

Hand waxed the top half of the rear cap (gel coat). It did get a little bit shinier, but still has streaks/blotches. Guess I'll have to use the orbital buffer to apply the wax for a second coat. Then I can put the scaffolding away to do the lower half.

Dug a BIG hole in the ground under the old travel trailer cover (is on small hill) so I can park SKI-ONE/our RV under it. Went down two feet, next I add about six inch base of washout or crushed concrete. Phase two is connector to existing driveway and phase three extending roof to fit coach. All part of hidden/unexpected cost of owning class A and we love it. BTW SKI-one "spending kids inheritance" number one- SKI-TWO is Jeep.

Added some weather stripping around the base of the bed--had found tons of dust gets in that way when traveling on gravel roads! Esp Top Of The World Alaska to Yukon!

Took the cover off, conditioned the rubber roof and washed the MH..Looks brand new.....

Installed an Ultra Guard mud/rock flap on the rear...Easy job that took 3x as long as expected, which is normal....Had to attach to the frame.....Looks good tho, perhaps it will save a rock or two from hitting the dingy....
