Returned from last vacation of the year Sunday and started to unload. Hopefully will finish Tuesday or Wednesday. I will take it over to the Farmers Exchange and fill the Propane tank and top off the diesel tank and pull it into the barn. This coming weekend I will blow the water lines and put anti-freeze in the kitchen and bathroom sinks. I installed one of the Hepvo traps on the Tub/Shower and hope to do the same for the other sinks later. After that no more Pink Stuff. I hate winter.

I've installed a ScanGauge also but have very little time to use it. I need to print out the full manual because I can't find the transmission temp on it so far.

I went out to the MH the other night, both battery banks were turned off, but there was the ScanGauge glowing in the dark. Obviously the switches on the control panel dont' control everything.

Bill,

If you scroll through the "Gauges" function, you find a function labeled "TFT". Selecting that will display your trans temps.

Since the ScanGauge is powered by the engine diagnostic port, it is powered by the engine batteries, not the house batteries. To prevent battery drain, simply unplug the cable at the back of the ScanGauge.

Changed V10 oil & filter, lubed chassis, changed air filter, checked anti-freeze.

Check condition of all tires, lights etc. Replaced electric step switch that I broke (Don't store bundles of firewood on your steps)

Changed oil, filter, fuel filter, air filter and broke the fuel pump on Onan gennie (Twisted the end off the fuel pump while tightening the fuel filter). That will be replaced when the Cummins dealer opens on Tuesday!

For trucks these things have a lot of parts that break easy!!

Blew out all plumbing lines then addded lots of pink stuff.

One more day of messing around and we will be ready for winter storage

Got the oil changed today. Working on a tank vent for the water tank. Might build a Genturi tomorrow. I think I can do this for a lot less than $130.00

I've installed a ScanGauge also but have very little time to use it. I need to print out the full manual because I can't find the transmission temp on it so far. All of the gauges on it agree almost exactly with the dash gauges.

The two intersting things I've found so are the overall fuel consumption and the gauge itself. I'm driving a Fleetwood 39S Excursion with a C7 - the gauge is showing that my overall MPG on about 700 miles is something over 18 MPG. If it was half of that I'd be happy. The other thing is that now that it's getting dark in Alaska, I went out to the MH the other night, both battery banks were turned off, but there was the ScanGauge glowing in the dark. Obviously the switches on the control panel dont' control everything. When I store it in a couple of weeks for the winter, I was planning to disconnect the batteries anyways.
