Replaced the 1-1/2" fill and 3/4" vent hoses on the gas filler. I literally have never been dirtier. The fill hose was detiorating from the outside in. Odd, but the black crackly stuff came off as black dust, much of which fell on my head. I went inside to wash away the raccoon look. I checked in the mirror, saw I had most of the black off and went to rinse. Must have caught a lot of it in my hair. Looked again and I was a mime in black.

ike, is your compressor a "factory" type - axial like FS6 and other Nippons? Our 84 Holiday had "dealer air" with a York, also retrofitted to 134. Cold! But a drain on HP, even with the 460. Compressor didn't slow us down but cost nearly an MPG to run.

Nope for got to add that to the list.

Took off the BD exhaust brake as the gate in the brake froze open. Sent it in to BD and waiting for a call to see if they can rebuild it. Right now the beast is layed up in the driveway till we get the part back in her.

Not all today, but over the last two weeks.....Scraped and eternabond on the roof to fix PO's leaks. Replaced engine water pump(did you know every accesory bolds to the water pump on an 84 350?). Replaced battery isolator, still trying to figure out some jerry rigged wiring done by the PO. Did a complete rear brake job. Started removing the OM smog system. Replaced all clearence lights to stop/prevent leaks. Cleaned the interior. I got the new 12v water pump today, but have yet to start on the house water system.

Hopefully I get everything major done in time to take the old girl on our maden voyage this weekend. I know DW will be happy to start using it and stop spending money on rehab!!!lol

I know not the typical DYI project butโ€ฆ.
Retrofitted the engine AC to R-134 with:
All new custom made barrier hoses
New seals
Flushed evap. and condenser
New Receiver/ Dryer
PAG oil
The end result was a cycling a/c compressor at 43-50 degreesโ€ฆโ€ฆ

I pulled all the vent covers on my roof off and CLEANED them. Wow, what a difference! Unit looks new from inside and smells much better without all the dirt and dust.

Charged the engine battery and checked the water level of the house battery. Replaced all the tools and kitchen gadgets that migrated into the house over the past few months. Still planning the attack method of determining why the RR jack will tip down but will not extend (worked fine until I repaired the leak).

Bought a 25' 30 amp extension cord in case we ever need it. Almost bought a set of camco gutter extensions but wasn't sure if they are universal and fit my rig. Anyone use these gutter extensions?

Scraped off as much of the old goop/putty from the front top seam as possible; someone apparently thought that if some was good lots, lots more was better. Then painted with Eternabond primer. Next I'll lay down a strip of EB webseal, then lap over it with two strips of white EB.

Harvey51 & others, In reading your deli ma and if I read it wright, on these multiple wire hook-ups to your battery or batteries there is something in the marine world that will help solve this problem & make you chooses & eliminate all of you tendency's for the mistakes in one fell swoop............http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_5203____SearchResults. Believe me here if you radio in on when you reverse polarity on your hook-up it will fry it !!! Unless you install a one way current flow, a diode, in the connecting wires behind the radio, but all of this is solved with this from BPS.

I put the house batteries back in. Just about bungled it, assuming the black wire was negative. In fact black is positive and white negative. Used some red electrical tape to change the color on that black wire.
