i dont have a bunch of money and am looking for a smaller motor home for times i dont want to take my 32 foot 5th wheel etc...i have 3 dogs as my companions

the reason im asking here is the ad mentions damage in the over cab sleeping area and that is a class C specific problem

can any of you experts tell by the pics how much damage is possibly there and if it requires major or minor surgery to get it fixed etc

i will make sure that the title issue can be fixed before i do anything

thanks in advance...

here is the craigslist ad

I bet if you looked at it in person, you'd find 2" round dents all over it from being touched with a ten foot pole. Anybody notice that number 831 on the left side of the cabover? That sucker's been rented to death.
Too old to be parted out. If you towed it into a scrap yard, they might give you $20. I think they omitted the decimal point in that $2000 price.

also I note that on the left side of the cabover the rubber/plastic stuff has pulled out of the junction with the roof. probably a good source of water. somebody bought a junker rental cheap, found out it wasn't worth the effort and is trying to recoup some of theis money.

Bought ou 1988 Jamboree for $5000 and I am in another $3000 or so and a HUGE amount of labor to rebuild the cabover.

I gotta agree with rjxj - you are going to be hard pressed to find any motorhome in that price range that isn't junk.

We spent $7500 on our 1990 Winnebago Warrior about 5 years ago, and while largely functional it has been an expensive project. I've probably put $4000 in it over the last 5 years fixing things.

Could I please ask why do you want a class c instead of just pulling a smaller trailer. i just think its going to be impossible to get anything decent for $2,000 and its far more money to maintain another powered gadget. Just trying to help you out with some ideas.

From the pictures there seems to be delamination on the overhead. Note below the window above the passenger side. This is probably quite serious.
How much did you say he would give you to haul it off?

no title. will you be able to title/register it? sounds like junk. but some parts are probably worth the $2,000. if wooden framed I would guess the overhang is a goner and not fixable.
