Bisquick Shake and Pour comes in different size plastic containers to which you add water, shake, and pour in the hot fry pan. We like them because it's fast, easy and everyone in the family loves them. DW and I carry a couple of small ones for when we're on the road and a larger one when we're camping with the DGKs and their Mom.
Don't know what the directions say, I don't ask for directions and I don't read them, but I have been known to keep it mixed for three or four days in the frige. All you have to do is add water and shake, even those of us who have had recipes published, like quick and easy.
For those of you that go, "oh no, another plastic container in the landfill", yes eventually, but, we repurpose and recycle. I use the containers at home for that one or two cups of paint left in a one gallon can and then throw that big old contaminated steel can in the landfill.

Now on a serious note, I love Buckwheat Pancakes, buckwheat flour and pancake mix is hard to find out here, do any of you know a packaged buckwheat pancake mix that still tastes like it did forty well maybe sixty years ago? I found a mix in a cotton bag on a trip a few years ago and the DW poo poo'ed buckwheat pancakes until I cooked up a batch. Now we can't find any out here on the Left Coast.
