The paint would have no effect but the wiring or the power supply would. Replacing one or the other got you good reception. Fixing one or the other on your previous setup would have gotten you better reception.
A bit of confusion, though. At 4:00 you said you were getting no reception and now you say you have the Razor Air. Does that mean you are also getting no reception with the Razor Air? Were you ever able to get any reception with any antenna at your current location?

Sorry for confusion I have gotten the Razor Air end of season and Haven't been able to use it yet we don't get anything in town unless you have satellite or cable and first trip of season was in same scenario .

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

Thanks I added the batwing to my older sensar and spray painted the sensar to spruce it up I didn't get anything after that before I got 3 channels that never stayed. I wouldn't think spray painting the sensar would effect it I think it was a coax so I replaced it and still noting so now I have the razor air

I have one on the rv and one on the sticks and bricks. They work great.

I have done it. When I bought my RV it had a Batwing that was not working, I cleaned up all connections and tested to see if it was broken, it was,so I replaced it with a new bat wing then ran a Channel Scan I was not impressed with the amount of channels that I got. This was done in my driveway here in the south bay of So Calif using my SensarPro.

I then went out and got a Wingman add on, that put my channel scan up to 47,but I had a clearance problem with the Wingman

So I opted to put a Jack on and my channel scan went up to 60

I then went with the Rayzar as you can see it fits in the same space.
I opted not to put it on the supplied 13 In. arm. I kept one arm of the Winegard mast and mounted it that way, there are instructions in the kit,it is very easy to do. This way I had it in the same space and got the maximum height when deployed.

The Bi-Directional feature is great and easier to use than the Jack and I get a few more stations.

I had one and it worked well, it went with the mh when I sold it. My new unit came with the Sensar III to which I have added the Wingman which basically turns it into the Sensar IV. Works really well. As others have said, it's really hard to beat the Sensar.

What Bill said. NOTHING outperforms a Batwing in RV service. Anything else depends on what you're willing to settle for

The Winegard Sensar IV will give you the best service. The Razar Air is good but the Sensar is still the gold standard.
