Just ordered the wireless w/7" monitor.
Sounds like it'll work.

I would like to get the ones with pan/tilt. Our tt is parked in the grass next to the driveway, and I keep the shore power plugged in all the time, so if I used a camera with pan/tilt I could view our driveway, garage, and house on my phone or laptop from anywhere. Most of the cameras that I have seen have a motion sensor that can send you an email with pictures if any motion is detected.
To use as a backup camera, you will need to be sure that the camera you get can connect directly to your device without an internet connection, as most cannot.
Another option I have considered is a wired camera with the monitor that mounts onto the rear view mirror. Some of those have a fairly large screen. It would cover the compass/temperature display on my mirror though.

My truck doesn't have one, our Subaru does. It's better than sliced bread.
It's good to see that many/most the newer trucks we buy to tow with come with them.

My center console screen is at least 7-inches and camera view comes up when I go into reverse. The view has feet markers with increasing beep alarms if something is in the path.
You can easily see the rear bumper in these two google photos
This camera is installed in the FORD OVAL EMBLEM on the rear tail gate. It is prone to pickup additional light source and may flare up the screen. The best feature is you can see the ball mount in the screen and watch it go under the trailer hitch on the first try... Don't know how I have lived without this all these years...
