Copilot not working with car speakers

I had posted previously that I could no get Copilot to work with my cars Bluetooth system. Well I have concluded its not copilot, but either Apple or Toyota. Not sure which, but my music doesn't work either, so they are no longer compatible. Either Toyota won't keep up or Apple won't fix it. I have tried 3 devices , all Apple and none of them work. All have been updated past the iOS 8 update which seems to be when the issue started. So if you want coplilot to wrk through your vehicles system there is a possibility you will have a compatibility problem. Other wise it is a great app for the price and doesn't require data to use.

I have a similar experience with several cars. Phone calls go to the car Bluetooth but the navigation app does not. Mostly I use Google maps.

Interested to see what resolves here.

I don't know whether this is applicable but on my iPhone, I had to to into Accessibility, down a bit there is a setting called "Call Audio Routing". I have that set to Bluetooth Headset. This will route the sound through the Bluetooth device when it is available. I have a handsfree device that connects my iPhone and iPad and all sound goes through the speakers for calls and Copilot directions.

Did your IPhone connect to the Toyota thru Bluetooth and work ever? Before installing Copilot or updating to IOS 8.x? Do any of the iPhone features work through Bluetooth to your audio system? Maps? Phone calls?
