Do ATT & Verizon Limit Towers for PayGo Phones

I use ATT Go Phones and reception is not very good at my stick home. Thinking of switch to Verizon Pay as you Go phone, but wonder if it would be any better. Perhaps they do not use all their towers for Go Phone type phones??

Between Verizon prepaid coverage and ATT prepaid coverage you will likely find that Verizon offers a wider area of coverage. My wife moved from ATT prepaid to Verizon prepaid and has had better coverage on her phone in places that we travel regularly than she had before.

What specific plan are you referencing? Verizon has 4G service on their prepaid plans. 1 GB included and $20 for each 3 GB after that. Phones can be used as a Hotspot.
ONLY on Verizon towers, NOT partner towers or roaming agreement towers.

Correct, that is what I posted two days ago. That has NOTHING to do with speed reductions after so much usage that rjsurfer mentioned.

Thanks for the overlay. The only thing keeping me from dumping the land line is an older sister living in Stephenville, tx. When I call her on my ATT prepay, every 5th word or so gets dropped. On my land line, it is OK. I know her phone service is poorly maintained there, so I think it is partly her land line. I'm wondering if I get a full subscription Verizon cell, not a prepay, the reception would be OK. I noticed in the overlay that prepay vs full seems very different in the Stephenville area.

Are you in Stephenville ?
The coverage area has nothing to do with her landline service
Only the Cellular coverage area in Stephenville,
Is your sisters phone pre pay Verizon?
Or a landline

Your pre pay Is only affected by the area you are in
Unless you are calling another pre pay and then they area affected by the area they are in..
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Borrow someones cell phone that uses Verizon and call her.

We have Verizon full service.....used it for traveling FT.
Had coverage/service most places.

Then came off road....Verizon is very spotty but so is any other service at our house
SO we have landline for home and Verizon when away from home.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Good coverage on prepaid Verizon, unless one is traveling from Illinois to Texas. Lots of no service in Missouri and Oklahoma. Data was slightly better. By the way, coverage is the same on Straight Talk phones that are on the Verizon network.

I have also been thinking of switching to another service as my AT&T at the house here is weak. But it's only since the trees here in the woods have leaved out. My son has Verizon and has less signal here than I do with AT&T. I think both are on the same tower just over a mile from the house. A few weeks ago I was getting dropped calls here at the house I called AT&T about it, they did call me back and said they found a problem on the tower and would repair it. I still have a weak signal but no longer get dropped calls.
