How do you get Bing tool bar OFF your computer?

No it's not listed in the uninstall program
No it's not listed in the click down bar.
Not listed anywhere it is supposed to be to be able to delete it.

No surprise there. :R

Is there a fix somewhere to get this dang search bar off my computer?
I'm using vista firefox

Thank you

How do those instructions go? Never seen anything like that.

1. Press the "Start" button.

2. Select Control Panel.

3. Select "Programs".

4. Find "Bing" and click, then select "uninstall".

It is good to have for an occasional use when Google does not Get-Er-Done.

It appears the Bing Toolbar is only available for IE. So if you picked it up in Firefox, it's not actually an MS product, and hidden within another extension.

You may want to follow the instructions here.

You should "Google" "Get Bing off my computer". You will find the Microsoft folks bashing the poster for not explaining what he wants, failing to explain how to do it (if it can even be done) and blaming the poster for wanting the information. At no point (that I could find) did anyone from Microsoft actually address the issue of how to do it. Some other posters explained ways to modify the registry but the MS folks did nothing more than a tap dance to avoid having to answer the question.
I use MS and I like it but it's disappointing to see them act like such babies when a direct answer would have given them a bit of credibility.

Keep in mind that my suggestion does not remove Bing from your computer. It just hides it so you cannot see it. :C

I have no idea if it is possible to actually remove it completely from the computer.

Recently, Chrome has put in code to disallow all Web browser add-ons that don't come from the Google web store, just because of stuff like this.

Sure is nice to have a knowledgeable source come to the rescue. As others have mentioned, Barney's answer has and will help many others.

I was going to add to Barneys comment the top of the FIREFOX page but you found it ok...

Seems like every time I download something of interest things get added to my page somewhere...

This is the perfect example of how an answer helps many people on this forum.

I have had Bing "infest" my computer before and always went through a reset to an earlier date which is a long process.

Barney's answer is much, much ,much easier!!

Thanks.
