I am looking at the "weBoost Drive 4G-X 50dB Repeater Kit - 470510" on my rig. It is not yet out but promises to be the best booster in the market. I want it with an outside directional antenna and a directional internal antenna so that I can use my devices throughout my 40' coach. So far, I am only seeing kits made for small vehicles such as cars.

Is anyone else also waiting for this booster and if so, have you found a better set of options?

Thanks.

Call Wilson. They can suggest how to best fit your application.

If you can find the Wilson Electronics version it will be cheaper. The name change to Weboost included a price increase.

I have two of the following big boosters. It's advertised at 50db gain. Best I've seen is 35db. Which is still alot. To see 35db requires placing device on or next to the internal antenna. Moving out to max range of 5ft lowers db gain.

1st link is the Wilson product. Second link is rebadged at higher price.

Even with directional antennas, you will have a difficult time putting together a system that provides a boosted signal throughout a 40' motorhome. To cover that much area you will need more antenna separation than will be possible.

Call the tech guys at Powerful Signal, they are very knowledgeable and can give you good recommendations on what will work best for your set up and how you plan to use it. I got my equipment there a few years ago and they were very helpful.

Snickster posted the kit that comes with the external and internal antennas. However, It comes with an omni-directional antenna for both exterior and interior.

IMO it seems an omni-directional antenna would (both in and outside) would be more useful if you are "on-the-go" frequently. With a 40' coach I'm sure the standard internal omni-directional antenna would give you good service.

Wilson does make a different kit for "home" use that comes with a directional antenna. It's called the 4G-X Connect instead of the Drive model. Here is the link to the directional antenna that it comes with. http://www.wilsonamplifiers.com/wilson-yagi-directional-antenna-wide-band-50ohm-n-connector-314411/

I don't see why you couldn't use that with your setup provided it has the same connector.

No, I prefer to wait for the 4GX unit. I just needs guidance on the cable and antennas.

The only one I've seen that does what you're looking for (I think) is the Wilson Electronics Mobile 4G

Is that something you have seen before ?
