More motosat Qs

Up graded house Shaw system to HD. So now Motosat system in MH with SD reciever will not find sats. RF Mogal tell me to change the LNB which I did to there specks. Now they say I need a new controller that they will ship me for over $900 bucks by the time it gets here. Not too excited about spending another 900, and no guarantee it will solve my problems. Is it possible to manually operate the dish with switches to activate each motor that moves the dish?? I realize it would be the old hunt and find process as with the remote dish sitting on the tripod. Thanks for any suggestions

I am using the 505 HD receiver in my 5th wheel with the double lnb on the HD Nomad. I get as much HD tv as I care to have. Your 630 will work with the new lnb you put on but the HD channels on the new satellite will not come in very far south of the border. The Motosat controllers have had some issues for a while with the Shaw birds. The new RF Mogul controller sounds promising and the hardware on the roof can remain as is. I may go for one once I find out a little more about it. PM me if you want the directions for manual switching setup.

Using HDPVR630 in the house and a SD in the MH

It is possible and I am doing just that. The new controller from RF Mogul will work and find the Shaw sats just fine from what I have read. Which Shaw receiver are you using?

Down south when we upgraded to HD with Direct TV we kept one SD box which we use in the house and in the RV when we travel.
