I just found this app the other day and it is NICE, free and no ads.
RV Parky

I did a search and did not see it mentioned here so I thought I would share. It seems really complete with County Park listings which most apps do not list. Lots of feature and direct connection to web sites for reviews and photos.

Thanks Wrace, I think I will stick with RV Parky for awhile since the Wal-Mart information is important to me.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Did you mean Camp Finder or Camp Fire?
Edit: If I had looked at the details from your link, I now see that it goes to the Camp Finder site.
I have not downloaded it but it seems to be very similar to RV Parky. Does anyone have both as a comparison before I have to fork over $2.99?

You can test drive the Camp Finder app within the amazon page for 30 minutes. I pulled up both Camp Finder and RV Parky then put the same city/state in and compared the results. The format is of course different between the two and that will be largely personal preference.

They both had mostly the same campgrounds/parks listed for the area with the following exceptions.
Camp finder showed the one Military Park in the area, RV Parky did not.

RV Parky showed the rest stop, walmart, and local racetrack (allows camping), where Camp Finder did not.

Another difference is Camp Finder had one review for two of the campgrounds where RV Parky showed no reviews for any of the campgrounds. On the other hand RV Parky had a more complete set of pictures for most all the parks then Camp Finder did.

Just got iPhone 5. I have been a Mac user for 8 years and prefer interface over Microsoft. Could you make a version for iPhone iOS? All the positive reviews on here are very compelling. I would even pay for some thing as helpful.

Seriously, I never have issues with my MacBook Pro. It is 3 years old plus and has never been a problem. I use it everyday especially for hard-hitting programs like Photoshop CS5. Built solidly and elegantly.

Not so far for Win 8 but Blue Stacks will let you run Android apps on Win 7 and Vista and XP.

The "app" is only for android smart phones. Windows computers can use the website http://www.rvparky.com

I downloaded RVParky as my first RV finder app. It looked great to me. I then looked at the other suggestions on here and on Play Store. RV Parky is by far the best of the bunch (besides being free). I looked at AllStays and it pales in comparison (my opinion) as it doesn't give you much info about the sites. RV Parky gives you the address and phone number among other info.
10 stars.

Lenny, I just DL'd your app today as well, just what I was looking for. Great interface, easy to use, just doesn't get any better than this.
Not to put ideas in your head, but this is an app I would pay for.

And, as long as you're asking, I have an 'wouldn't it be nice if it could' comment.
Google maps allows you to cache an area to local storage if you know you're heading out in 'no service' land. Wouldn't it be nice if you could cache an area in your app to SD card so you could still find places to stay around you when you don't have service. I understand that pictures and reviews wouldn't make the cut, but the icons for amenities would sure be nice.

Great App! Thanks for doing this.

Hello, I developed the RV Parky app and website. I'm glad you found it and like it. Thanks for sharing the app on this forum. I'm always trying to improve it, so please let me know if anything is missing or if you have any suggestions.

Lenny,

I downloaded your app too. Very nice! Clear, clean, & most impressively (sp?), loaded with data (without looking crunched & overbearing)

I develop windows software & manage our company's dbs. You did a great job! I'll definitely post any suggestions.
