New Sensor 4 w/ new pro sensor

Yesterday I changed out the old Batwing for the new Sensor 4 w/ wingman, along w/ the new pro sensor. It all worked quite well, considering I was surrounded by tall trees. I fine tuned the PS to a hi of 55 on the meter, and picked up 7 channels. However, 1 or 2 of those channels were blocking out now and then, so I started twisting the Batwing, and was able to get them cleared up. But to my surprise, the meter was down to 44. So, the tv was getting a stronger signal at 44, than at 55. Maybe because of the trees,.....deflecting signals ??
Any ideas ? I doubt there is any defect in the system,....will know more when I get out in the more open spaces.

What's sad is that the OTA channels can make the sat and cable providers pay to carry them, giving them more viewers so they can charge higher ad rates. But that's a discussion for a different thread.

No such thing as too much signal here, 60 miles to the nearest.
But I did play w/ the gain up and down, dint change anything. I'm sure it will be just fine outta these trees. But the HD is beautiful.
I don't pay for HD on satellite, but sad that HD is free on OTA tv, and Sat makes you pay !:)

Not all channels come from the same location so it may be that one or more actually get a better signal when the antenna is turned. Another possibility is that the towers are close enough that the new setup is actually receiving too strong of a signal and it's over powering the antenna. You can test this by moving the setting on the Sensar Pro below 10 with will attenuate the signal instead of amplifying it.

You can also play with the "gain" setting on the Sensor Pro, up or down. Just installed mine but haven't messed around with the gain. Seems to work as advertised.

The RF signal would include an actual TV signal plus RF interference: sun, machinery, microwaves, LED or florescence lighting, etc.

Aiming the antenna slightly off the original direction removed the RF interference allowing a cleaner television signal. Nothing wrong with your equipment.
