Winegard Carryout Power Cable

The power plug on the antenna end of the 12 vdc power cable has pulled apart and requires replacement. Winegard says the only way to fix this problem is to purchase a a replacement cable which in time will fail again due to poor design. Has anyone replaced the plug on the antenna end of their Winegard Carryout power cable, and if so, where did you find the replacement plug?

FIXED!
I have found a nice power connector that should not have the issues the Winegard power cable has.
CNLINKO 2 pin power connector male plug and female socket waterproof outdoor IP67
You just need to remove the original power connector and enlarge the existing hole to accept the new socket (do not remove too much material). Cut the wires off the original socket and solder to the new socket. Always keep the "hot" wires on the #1. Drill the 4 holes to bolt on the new socket. Seal the socket and the original mounting holes with silicone sealant.
You then need to attach the cable connector - watch the polarity - hot on pin #1. The center of the cigarette lighter 12V connector.

That connector was always a problem. The new Carryout G2 uses a new and dramatically better connector.

The Winegard Carry out has two different connectors.
On the feed end it has a standard cigarette style plug.
On the other more troublesome connector, is a square two wire. It isn't the best design from the factory. The conductors going into are very small, about 20 maybe 22 gauge. the connector is about 1/2 inch square. They tried use heat shrink to go from 1/2 square to about 1/4 inch diameter round cable.
I converted mine to a standard two wire flat connector.

I would need to see the connector but odds are very good that not only can I fix it but I can improve it so it's less likely to fail again...

Yes, or find one that you can connect directly to the cigarette male plug directly.

Not to hijack this thread, but there also is a problem on the cigarette lighter end of the cord. Mine broke. Can I cut the wires and splice one of these: roadpro 12v fused replacement cigarette lighter plug in place of the broken one.

I leave the dish end connected. I use a cable tie to secure it to the handle so less stain is on connector.

I am on my second cable. The new one came with an additional dish end. I would be interested in making a fix leaving the disc end plugged together.

I bought a new power cable from Winegard. I will cut it and put Anderson Power Pole connectors on it. Then the Winegard connector will stay put and the disconnect will be the Anderson Power Poles.

Mine failed and I patched it back together at the dish end. I bought but have not put on a standard two wire connector. Plane on splicing just inside the dish with butt connectors, install strain relief so splice doesn't pull apart. Cable end will get other connector using soldered butt connectors and individual heat shrink plus a heat shrink over the complete splice. Will be staggering splices so it will be smaller.
Make sure that the positive is the covered on the cable end.
That connector on the dish really sucks!
