Help!! Need an opinion . . . Or two

Im looking at buying a1999 Dutchman camper but i have one concern. The current owner says that the previous owner spilt anti freeze in the bathroom and thats why the bathroom floor is stained. Now my father had a camper and the floor was discolored when we had a roof leak. Apparently in that model when the floor glue got wet it discolored. So now im a little nervous that might be the issue here too. Any opinions would appreciated. Over all the camper seems to be a nice rig

That floor looks just like mine did. Water damage from where the spare tire mounted to the back of the trailer.

Without question, that is water damage. Look at the wall on the right where the vinyl bead separates the wall and floor. Notice the bead distortion? Now look at the ripple that runs from the corner of the cabinet to the toilet base. The ripple is where the vinyl floor covering has come loose from the wooden floor, most likely because of swelling of the wood. Pink stain would not cause any of these issues. Look at the pattern of the discoloration. It runs completely from a corner to the toilet base. Very consistent with water damage, not from surface staining. Also, vinyl floor covering is not porous. Any staining would take significant time to develop. That would mean any product staining the floor would have to have been left for an extended period of time, and the size of that discoloration would mean about a half gallon was left for a very long time.

Looks like a good old pink antifreeze stain. Easy fix. Just press around the edges to see if anything feels rotted.

I would examine the floor and the roof to make sure there is no rot. It would be an easy fix to replace the linoliem. If the camper is a good deal then go for it.

I'm no forensic expert, but the pinkish color of the spot does seem to me to be consistent with the seller's claim. It should be pretty simple to tell if the floor is squishy in that area or not.

On my Dutchmen, there are several stains on the vinyl floor that look like rust spots. I got a good deal so didn't worry about them and the floor was solid.

Last year my vinyl split in the winter and I found that the spot coincide with dark knots in the plywood. I thought that was very interesting.

Decide how much water damage means to you - and then look very, very closely. It could be from antifreeze - but it could be something worse.
