Memorial Day dissapointment

We enjoyed a nearly packed (approx 155 RV sites) Jellystone Park in Luray VA this weekend (Memorial Day weekend). However, while walking our dogs over the weekend we only came across 2 US and 1 Service flag displayed (and I had the service flag).

I can see at least 10 just from my camper, including mine.

We don't personally have a flag with us, but there is one displayed here on our manager site in the campground.

I think displaying a flag while camping is nice....but do those same people display a flag at home? I don't display a flag...in my little Class B there just isn't room to bring a flag and rig a flag pole, and I just don't want the hassle of something else to set up!

My family has served in every war, in every generation, since before our Nation was founded.
Somedays the flag flies, some days it doesn't.
I appreciate those that have served and gave their best, I honor those that gave everything.

Memorial Day disappointment

I just don't see the patriotism that once use to be so prevalent. Shame.

๐Ÿ˜ž

I do not display a flag on my MH when in CG's.

I lost 2 members of my family in the war and 2 MIA.

Not displaying a flag on my MH on Memorial day does NOT makes me a bad person or unpatriotic.:R

I don't think of my family members JUST on Memorial Day.....I think of them every waking hour of my days.

People need to watch their words about others based solely on whether they fly a flag or not.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

We too are at an rv park and as I look around I don't see any flags...except mine.

I just don't see the patriotism that once use to be so prevalent. Shame. I think it's mostly because we have become so use to our country being at war and that we, who are not directly involved, don't see it as being real. War? What war?

We stayed the weekend at a place in Nebraska City, Victorian Acres. The property manages had flags at every site.

Its one thing we've not brought with us, but will start setting the flag up in the near future.

Sorry to say, but today is seen as a holiday, instead of a day of remembrance.:(
People look at it as another day off of work!

Thank you for displaying your flag. We have ours out in front of the house every day...with a solar powered spot light on it!

We've got a Nephew in the Air Force, so maybe it means a bit more to us....but it shouldn't, or rather, it should mean a lot to EVERYONE!!

I think you have experienced a statistical anomaly. Whether in a state park, private camp ground, or even dry camping on the beach, we typically see plenty of flags. No matter what the date.
