RV travel agent? Could you suggest one?

Planing RV trip not that complicated that I would need assistance. But it's like sliced bread, it's nice to have.

I booked everything online since beginning of internet. But for 5 years or so been using regular travel agent and love it. Just give a call and receive bookings in email and addresses of destination as text message. If something goes wrong, just ring and he will fix it.

So I was thinking I could have someone else do the planing and research for RV travel.

Any suggestions?
How much does it cost?

Thank you.

I've actually had family members ask us if we use a travel agent to plan trips. People who aren't campers/RVers really don't know how this all works.

That said, I haven't seen any red flags that there is something amiss with the OP. Plan B RV is doing a good job of dishing it right back...
Too bad he has to dish anything back. This is THE reason I've stopped asking for help on this forum.

I start planning m next trip while I am on my current trip. My plans for my June and Sept trips are tentatively complete. But like others have said, trips are a fluid item and can change in a heartbeat. A couple of years ago, m plans for the Beartooth Highway and Going to the Sun Road both got totally whipped out by a late June snowstorm.

Haha. That’s great

I thought Plan B RV did good with this statement. Most likely, way over the head of the person who wrote mommy..... still scratching their head and wondering what was meant!!!

Using a agent for traveling is just another way to keep our economy going, plus it helps the person paying save time and effort. Some folks just do not enjoy spending hours on the net doing research.

Each to their own.

Good luck Plan B.

Years & years ago ~ planning a road trip through California Gold Country in a TruckCamper ~ AAA Routed us thru Columbia N.Carolina rather than Columbia California. That would have added several days and 2,500+- miles to our trip. Needless to say we did not go that way.Only time we ever had ANYONE route our trips.

I really enjoy the planning ~ Heck ~ sometimes it is the best part of the trip.

JM2¢ ~~ YMMV

Our planning consists of booking a campsite online and loading the camper. Who needs a travel agent for that?

RVing is like boating... plans are a good start but life gets in the way.

Planning the trip is half the fun. I used to do outside sales for an agency and never heard of doing RV planning. Flights, hotels, tours, car rentals etc. is what a travel agent does. Now there is Adventurecaravans.com that offers guided tours and they plan everything for you, you just fall in line and go. Very comprehensive tours.

All travel agents I used get paid from the bookings not from me, the only time I used a travel agent for rv'ing was for Fort Wilderness at Disney and he was a friend of ours. I figure we give Disney enough money and someone should get something from it.

I've never heard of a travel agency that handles RV park reservations. They could be out there, but apparently aren't very popular. I much prefer managing my own time and reservations anyway, with no middleman.

Well I don't know what to say to that.
Maybe owner of this website is on this forum and can chime in with pricing?

Ok - hold on. You started this thread asking details about looking for an RV travel agency, but now this article about an RV travel agency is your competitor? Something isn't adding up here. :?

Sarcasm, because I got accused of promoting "my business".

I just want feedback from someone who used travel agent. And find out how much does it cost.
