Zoomers RV

I purchased a 5th wheel from Zoomers. In the listing it did state it was a repo and I understood it needed tlc. However they included a youtube video that showed and in the video stated there were no signs of water damage the video was labled "Solid 2003 sprinter". The listing stated it would be all hooked up and systems tested and in good working order.

When I arrived the slides were out, but nothing was hooked up. I wondered around for a few minutes, no one came out to help or ask what I was there for. I went inside, no one greeted me. I finally wondered around and found Mike Jr in an office. He said that his Dad was out there and would show it me. Again I went out and wondered around for another 10 min. No help.

Finally he came out of the shop, The rv had not been hooked up, nothing was tested, the plug was out of the hot water heater, had anitfreeze in the lines. (late May). He walked me around it, showed me a diamond plate that they put in the kitchen floor to keep slide from cutting floor. I should have demanded my money back at that point but I am new to RV's and believed them. Also there were no LP tanks in it. Acted like they were doing me a favor by putting one tank in it.

When I got it home, the first attempt to run the slide out I discovered the problems. The slide mech was breaking away from the floor. It was rotted out. The original bolts were gone and had been replaced with wood lag bolts that were only in the floor. The slide would not come out and was ripping loose.

They initially denied there was any damage, then it wasn't that bad and etc, basicaly called me a liar, would not answer the phone etc.

I took the outside trim loose, the slide wall is rotten, the floor is rotten.

Mike finally said take it for an estimate and he would pay for it. I took it. Got an estiamate for $2500 fix the floor. He stated it was way too high. I wanted to return it for a refund but he would not do that. He offered to pay half the estimate, when I decided to accept that he then refused anymore contact. The $2500 was for only the floor, nothing to get wall fixed. That was just to make it useable.

Don't be confused by their ebay feedback. While there they offered me $50 to leave positive feedback. I didn't have my ebay password or I would have fallen for it. So they are paying for the positive feedback. I have posted a youtube video of the camper.

This is Mike owner of Zoomers RV

I have read all the above post and find them all very interesting
One post from a disgruntled customer on a 10 year old fifth wheel that was purchased for HALF OF NADA!! It was Clearly Sold ASIS, was a repo and it was written in the ad 3 times that there was no guarantee that there was no water damage. Also written in the ad that this unit was not nice or new and would need TLC. I have sold over 1800 USED ASIS REPO RVs online and have a Great Reputation of being up front, honest and easy to deal with. I am Very Easy to Deal with. I want all customers to leave my business happy with the deal they got. I Sell Mostly Used RVs and Most are Repos. That is not a bad thing. Repos today are not what they where even 5-6 years ago. Alot of people these days just bring the RVs to the bank walk in hand over the keys and say "I can't pay for it" (according to all the banks I deal with all over the U.S.). All Used RVs have issues and they all leak. So it isn't an Easy Business to be in, but I love it..
What I won't deal with is someone buying a RV and signing an ASIS STATEMENT refusing a Warranty then 30 days later calling and demand that I Pay a $2500 repair bill!!! I would guess everyone who reads this knows someone who wants something for nothing. I would like to take this chance to I really appreciate all my Wonderful Great Customers (the other 99.6%) who have been so great to deal with over the years.

About buying something sight unseen, that is not how I do business. If you win an RV from me on Ebay. If you get here and you don't like it you don't have to take it. You are buying on your own judgement when you get here. I don't want anyone to buy something they don't really want. I want you to leave happy...

Any questions about anything written above or if you would like to talk to me

Just a quick 5 min browse of Fleabay and Zoomers tells me this place sells nothing but wrecks!
There are deals to be had if you're frugal or on a budget, but going to a greasy used RV salesman is not the place.
Just search online adds by private owners. At least you have a chance to shake down the actual owner of the RV and get a feel for their demeanor/honesty to help with any risks or unknowns buying a used vehicle/RV.

I'm going to go out on limb here and assume that 'somewhere' in that ad it stated AS IS.

AND you should report them to Ebay. They have a specific contact for bad vehicles/RV's/real estate sales. Ebay WILL ban these guys if everyone took the time to file the report.
I think the first red flag is the name of the place - Zoomers? It reaks of those fly by night used car dealer namesakes.

Hmmmm...

Looks like at around 50 seconds into the video delamination is visible on the back of the coach.

Too bad looked like a nice unit till noticing this.

Yes the listing did say as is. I am guilty of being gullible. I take as is to mean no unforeseen problems, not that it is being totally misrepresented.

Here is the video they posted about it. Notice at the end he says no signs of water damage.

They always have decent looking stuff in their ad. I always thought about taking a look at what they had. I`m glad there are people here warning us about them. I do have to say I would never buy something sight unseen. only a deposit that would be refundable upon inspection if it didn`t meet the advertised description.

Unfortunately this is how we learn.

So you paid for it without seeing it in person first?
I feel for ya but thats the chance you take and for him to offer to pay anything is more than fair.
I would sure go online and post a review of your experience though - including the bribe offer.
