Anyone Bought RV/Camping Supplies At A Rummage Sale ?

I went to a rummage sale this weekend and purchased two small chairs that foldup twice for very easy storage. (2 bucks each)

Bought an "on demand" 8 piece fire ring for when I am dry camping in a secluded area. (5 bucks)

Got a smaller than twin size air mattress for 5 bucks. This will be great to use for when I fold down the captains chairs to sleep.

Just wondering who else has got great deals on RV/camping supplies at rummage/garage sales, flea markets etc.

We always keep our eyes out for RV gear at tag and garage sales and even thrift (Goodwill/Salvation Army etc) stores. Non-Rver's will pass by some good stuff, not knowing what it is used for.

Of course, I bought a cast iron frying pan for a quarter. Severl Melmac platters to use when we have steaks. The entire meal fits on a platter.
An electric frying pan for 50 cents and two electric blankets. The blankets came from church rummage sale the last day and were a dollar.
I take about 25 books I have not read every time we go camping and seldom pay more than a quarter each and often a dime. We never go for just a weekend.
A mattress that just fits over one of the bunks and makes the thin bunk mattress much more comfortable.
Comforters for the bunks, we have four and I seldom need bedding for four bunks but I do once in a while.

Yesterday, I bought some tennis balls to keep the front wiper blades from touching the hot windshield while sitting in driveway. I set one under each wiper arm.

There are few rummage sales where we live but I've bought things at Goodwill Stores, flea markets, yard sales and second hand shops for camping. Other things came from places like Dollar Stores or Wally World. Some things in our RV were extras from our house. Some things were left from our short-lived tent camping days.

I'm always on the hunt for Lodge brand cast iron cookware. Why someone would EVER get rid of that stuff is beyond me. It lasts a lifetime.

At a second hand shop, I recently bought a nice, very new condition interior windshield cover for the Class B. I had trouble finding that size in the past. I only paid $1.99.

I'm currently on the lookout for one of the hanging beaded lights made out of a flower pot. I've researched on line and the type offlowerpot used is no longer produced. I've found them on ebay for anywhere from $20 to $50 but I'm hoping that between flea market and yard sale I'll find one.

Today was the day. I spopped in a thrift store that I pass on the way to one of my offices and there was one waiting for me for only $2! It s a little dusty but I can clean it up and it will be great. I also got a plain one that someone had started but gave up on after drilling the holes so now I can finish it and have 2.

Yea!!! I finally took the extras that I had to Goodwill this summer...Now if I can just get DH to decide how he wants to install bulb in mine...He's one of these over-thinkers and then when he finally gets around to doing project, he'll usually change his mind! He's thankful I'm a patient person!

I am going to a community sale this weekend in a neighborhood having RV's etc. I would like to pick up some tire covers. I currently have old semi truck mud flaps covering them. They don't look pretty but do the job. 🙂
