Here, here, OP. I agree fully, though I'd settle for 2, even 3. Our Class A motorhome came with 7 keys!!! I have them organized on 3 separate rings.
Ignition, fuel filler lock - Ring 1.
Entrance lock, entrance deadbolt, driver's door - Ring 2
Engine hood, bin locks - Ring 3.
Plus I keep the key to the hitch lock on ring 3 and the key to the house on ring 2. So when I travel, I have the three rings, but when we leave the RV, I only need Ring 2. The other two stay in the motorhome.
Of all of the MoHo keys, only the bin key is double cut.
Hmmm...someone mentioned the glove box. I don't think I ever even tried to lock mine, but I was assuming it was the same as the ignition key. I'll have to check that out.
There is no reason the three keys on Ring 2 aren't all the same other than it's easier for the manufacturer to do it that way. I've lived with it, but way way down on my "to do list" I'd like to simplify it. But we've had the rig for 11 years now, so changing keys would probably confuse me now! LOL
