Awning over long slide ?????

Today was a beautiful spring day and we went to a local RV show. I think there might have been 10 dealers and less vendors.
We saw a couple of things that interested us and a few that made us wonder.
I liked a layout of a TT but as we left it hubby pointed out something that turned me off it. I hadn't noticed it on others but there had to be more.
The TT had a wide kitchen slide on one side and another opposite for the dining table and sofa.
When we looked outside the slide took up most of the awning, not only length but width. This was the side that you would sit out under.
Has anyone else got this on their RV and do you miss having all your space under the awning ?
The TT was a Forest River, Palomino.


We saw a Fifth Wheel that had us really wondering how badly we needed it and a new TV, LOL . A Redwood 36 RL

Reallity set in and we came home in our 2012 Avalanche and went and unlocked our 2011 TT. We sat down, breathing in cold air we thought, yes, this feels good!

We were looking at a 2014 Heartland that had a slide on the door side and it had 1 awning that covered the non slide space and a 2nd awning that was connected to the slide itself which would give you full door side awnings. Now obviously there would be some sites that a second awning on the slide would be difficult to extend but that set up make more sense.

Our Fuzion is like that. The long slide is directly under the awning which give you about 3 feet in front of the slide to take advantage of the awning. It's not much of a big deal to us since we rarely sit outside in the shade of the awning. Just not our thing. But I can see how it would be an annoyance to people who like to do that sort of thing.
