Bathroom Ceiling Stains

Hi All,

My husband and I just purchased our first RV. I noticed quite a lot of stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. My husband said it was probably just moisture from the shower/bathroom area and not a leak. I am still concerned. Could moisture from the from the shower cause the discolored spots on the ceiling? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, we already bought it. The spots don't feel softer than any other part of the ceiling. I'll post some images as soon as I can get to my desktop. Thanks for the help.

We have the usual material on our ceiling and use the shower a lot. I have no stains at all. Nor did I have any with the last two RV we owned.
I would skip this trailer, it's just not worth taking the chance of getting a rotting, leaking unit that mayor may not be repairable.

What is the ceiling material, mine are fiber glass. If yours is that wooden and its spongy then you could have serious water damage somewhere.

Does anybody smoke in the bathroom?

If its a leak, the area will likely feel a bit spongy.....

Could be caused by condensation and could be a leak. A picture would be good so that others can see the spots.
