Not taking in account price, what are the best quality motor homes out there? Which are the worst?

Class A - Gasoline only and not buses

Class B

Class C

Vans

I am willing to invest more for quality workmanship and reliability.

There is not a manufacturer out there that builds a quality RV of any type. If you find one that puts personal pride and workmanship in there product you will not be able to buy it. Not the price, it will be how soon they can get it to you. Everybody will go to it.

+1????

Has not happened and will not happen with three sons. One of the Grandsons started a fifth wheel manufacturing plant a few miles up the road. Definitely a family thing

For C's I'd say Lazy Daze, Born Free, Coachhouse and also perhaps Dynamax, Leisure Travel Vans and Phoenix Cruiser.

Objectively in a class A gasser Tiffin has the best bones---heavier chassis, longer wheelbase than the competition, including Newmar. Newmar comes next, them Winnebago.

Foretravel is the least expensive high quality Class A,....at only one million dollars. In a front-engine gasoline Class A, I just don't know. I've had 5 gasoline Class A motorhomes, and I wouldn't recommend any of them. Then, I thought I had ordered one of the best affordable big diesel pushers (Dutch Star), but it didn't turn out that good (for me). Good LucK

Tiffin changed hands recently. I don't know what may happen with them.

The most expensive, best quality? Class "A" makers like Prevost, Newell, and such. For class "B"s? Advanced RV comes to mind, but be prepared to have a quarter mill in hand for starters.

Something that will last a long while, with a low CPM? A custom Sportsmobile van. It may seem to have Ikea-esque furniture and may not be as luxurious than others... but they are made to last a long time. You can get what you want with them, so if the granite countertop is a must, they can deliver.

A class "C" that is built well? Lazy Daze foremost, then Coach House. After that, Phoenix Cruiser and Nexus RV.

Truck campers? There are some custom makes of those, so I'd look around and search the subforum.

As for trailers, I would go and find a place that makes custom horse trailers. These places don't come cheap... but they can make a trailer that will still be in operation while anything coming from most RV travel trailer makers would have long since hit the scrapyard.

Very subjective - quality is usually associated with the manufacturer as many make a range of products - of course the higher the price the quality can be better
