What are the best brand of stackable washer/dryers for a new RV.
I've seen the Splendide but notice lots of posts mention Whirlpool. Are the Whirlpool also front loaders? How do they compare in both price and efficiency?

The Whirlpools are front load, been using ours since '06.

We have the stackable Splendides and they work very well. The dryer is 110v and takes longer to dry than a residential dryer. We can wash everything in the washer except our quilt. You may be able to find the small Whirlpools at a big box store for less than the Splendides. Ours were factory installed with a catch pan underneath with a drain through the bottom of the RV In case there is some sort of issue like a hose rupturing. We also have an access door so we can get to the back of the units without having to pull them out. No more nasty laundries for us!

There was a thread a couple of years ago where some had used a stackable propane washer and dryer system from Sears. They said it used very little propane, dried quickly and was vented outside.
