Blog Section on Natural Remedies?

I am thinking of adding a natural remedies section to our blog and am wondering if it is something people would be interested in? I have benefited from natural solutions to minor problems quite a bit over the years. I have favored natural remedies because it is cheaper and has minimal to nonexistent side effects when done correctly. I can see how people would be interested because the products to make most remedies are usually easily obtained, and can save you a trip to a doctor you don't know when you are away from home. I would stick to the smaller problems, even though I have seen the evidence for success in bigger problems. I am going to avoid any debates, as it seems things can get sticky on these forums fast. I am just looking to share some things that has benefitted me, and am wondering how many people would find a section like this useful.

Thanks for the replies everyone! As for the remedies they would all be simple remedies for simple things focused on things you can easily do and make while traveling. I'm not even going to touch cancer, or anything severe. I am just mainly going to focus on things for headaches, bugs, rashes, digestion and that sort of thing. So to answer the questions on what will work for everyone, the fact is no one single thing works for everybody, not even in big pharma. I could talk more on that, but I will hold my tongue because I am not looking to debate with people. I have tried some things that others have swore on that didn't work for me, and have tried others which work great for me. Thanks again for the replies!

I don't go to blogs linked here OR any where else cause I don't read blogs.

But from all the stuff on social media somebody is reading all that stuff....so include it if you want to.
It's your blog.....:B
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I'm sure there would be a lot of interest but not from me unless you can provide good scientifically done research to show a benefit. That does not include testimonial reports from individuals which are worthless in supporting a product. Even a hard core skeptic like me is subject to the "placebo effect". However, I am way outnumbered.

I would open your blog with a very clear and definitive disclaimer.

Sure go ahead and add it even though I'm basically of the mindset that if fresh ginger isn't the proper curative you're about to dieeeeeeeeee:D;).

Natural remedies-
Just some random thoughts:
Associative assumptions- what guidelines are available to determine which remedies are appropriate for each person. Which remedies are inappropriate or could cause negative results for individual people.?

Simple question, no apparent hidden agenda, etc. Really can be a simply yes/no type of answer if one prefers. ๐Ÿ™‚

When I research natural remedies my first action is to do a Google Search for the ailment. For example my 90 year old dad suffered from Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) because he had an indwelling catheter. The google search lead me to a write up about D-Mannose. It's derived from Birch Trees. I started using it anytime my Dad showed signs of a UTI. The D-Mannose worked great to stop the UTI.

Moral of my post...I think most people would look elsewhere for information on natural remedies.

But like Roy&Lynne posted, it wouldn't hurt.

It certainly wouldn't hurt anything to add the section to your blog and it might be of interest to others I think everyone has some tried and true "natural" remedies that they use all the time. I can understand where onions in your socks might be debatable but aloa for your burns is tried and true. It actually might be fun to post a thread hear and ask what natural remedies folks use.

Thanks! Good idea! I am new to this forum business, so it is taking me a while to figure out how to post a thread. Is it just a new post, or something linked to a current one. Not to sound like a dummy, like I said it is just new to me. I took a look at your blog page and so far like what I see. You have some really nice photos!
