Friday--pick up the N2M TT. last night--DS breaks his foot. Cast for projected 6 weeks.

What a way to start the summer!!

Well we went 17 years without him breaking anything. He jumped out of a swing at the park. :S

Of course it's his right foot so he'll have to be really careful driving. Thank goodness school is almost out. But he won't miss a day -- even for the cast to be put on -- since he wants to be exempt from Finals. Hopefully it's a short cast. He broke the first Metatarsal bone that goes to the big toe.

Sorry to hear this news.

A couple of years ago our GS (9) was at a friends. His buddy same age had a dirt bike. You guessed it, poor kid broke tibia and fibula. It happened the week before school was out for the summer. He got all ok the week wbefore school started again. It was a long summer for him.

Your son will be okay once he gets a walking cast. The hard thing GS found was keeping sand out from inside his cast, between toes. We put a sock just over his toes when at the beach.
