I found the problem, the short cable I was using between the tv and wall was bad. Swapped it out and I now have a working tv in the master.
Thanks for everyones help.

The button just activates the booster on the antenna head, so that would work for both. Are you able to check the Jack connection? All settings on the tv set correctly, i.e. antenna vs. cable, etc?

When you reference "button" is this on a video switch up front?
Cable would normally go from the antenna to the video switch then back to the set.
The video switch could have several inputs and outputs. If the cable did not go to the switch first you would not be able to use DVD/VCR or satellite connection.
