Charleston, SC - lucky surprise!

We are sitting in a Charleston, SC campground and decided to go downtown to sight see. The city parking lots have a $1 per hour charge. so for a 8AM to 4PM stay that comes out to $8. When I pulled up to the check out station, the lady inside looked at my handy capped hang tag and said "No charge, sir". What a nice way to help out with allowing us to get close to the sights and then give us a savings besides! If you want to see Charleston I highly recommend it!

Full timing isn't "always camping". It's a different life style living in an RV.

If you want to stay a little outside the city (about 15 mins. away), try Lake Aire RV Park (Passport America) or Oak Plantation RV Park right down the road.

We stopped at Lake Aire for a week in November and didn't leave until March!! Charleston is really a neat city with lots of "old" and you can ride the trolley around town for free. There are several trolleys that are handicapped accessible.

Don't go to Scripps Medical Center in La Jolla. They No longer give free parking to people with Handicapped Placards or or License Plates.

Heading that way in TWO DAYS!!! Excited, excited. It's supposed to be 20-30 degrees warmer there than it is here at home, so I am ready to break out the shorts and t-shirts.

Staying at James Island County Park for a week.

Another Double Ditto.

Heading back for our second 3 month stay in June. I sure hope it's warm enough :B

The friendliest non-city for a Country Boy. Not too many Country Boy Friendly cities out there. Charleston is at the top of the List.

This is true for a lot of cities. Also free parking at metered spaces.
