Cleaning Pine Sap off RV

Not sure if anyone has posted anything about this. sorry if it's been mentioned before. We just closed for the season and pulled our 5th wheel home till next Spring. The seasonal spot we are at, has a few pine trees and pine sap got all over the front of the camper. Can anyone suggest a safe way of removing all that sap. We just bought this 5th wheel back in Feb of this year and want to make sure we don't harm the paint.
Thank you for any suggestions

WD40, bug ntar remover and citrus based solvents are probably the least harsh. Except maybe mayonnaise, lol.
Pretty much any alcohol based solvent up to acetone will work and not harm gel coat finish. Don't use any harsh solvents on grafix or stickers. That's where WD40 is your friend.
Cleaner wax will sometimes take care of small spots. Big globs are gonna need to be dissolved.
You can always scrape off big globs first with a single edge razor too, like removing stickers or caulking.

I use the stuff that is made from the actual pine sap, turpentine. Works like a charm and leaves no residue.

Denatured alcohol works like a charm for pine sap and damp dryer sheets for bug splat. Two of our best finds to date.

If you keep the RV well waxed, and the pitch is still soft, you can start with a hose and nozzle and hose alot of it off. A pressure washer makes that faster. I then have used both Orange Clean or WD-40 for what remains, but the WD-40 needs cleanup afterward.

I use Rubbing Alcohol for removing the sap. Didn't know about WD40, good to know.

Actually, I have been getting the sap on the Honda, not the motorhome. Strangest thing, a half dime-sized spots in random places (maybe one spot on the windshield, one spot on the side of the car, one on the roof).:R

We would use WD 40. Works good for tar, bubble-gum, sticky adhesive, crayon marks and many other hard to remove things.

Lestoil, if you can find it. Great stuff for almost any surface known to humankind which means you can waste less storage space buying specialty items.
The smell doesn't sit well with some but to me it telegraphs clean sort of the way Tide does for others.

X2 for hand sanitizer... I've found the thicker gel type works best for thicker spots where it can be left to soak for a few minutes. WD-40 also works, but then I found myself using alcohol, including hand sanitizer, to clean off the WD-40 residue anyway.

WD-40. they ONLY thing I will use WD-40 for is removing sap etc. from hands, cars etc. however I would NOT use it on a rubber roof.
