Electric scooter for RVs?

Here in Virginia, gas powered scooters under 50cc are street legal just like a moped or bicycle and do not require a motor cycle or driver's license. However, 2 or 3 years ago Virginia passed a law requiring license plates and registration.

Most if not all government parks require all vehicles to be street legal and appropriately licensed. No way an electric scooter, hoover board or whatever is street legal.

A bicycle and even an electric assist bicycle is street legal and no license is required.

I wasn’t talking about ‘resorts up north’ but here’s an excerpt from the rules (one of the very first Google hits) from a c/g in Myrtle Beach;

“Outside of standard cars, trucks and RVs, no motorized vehicles are permitted in the resort. This includes, but is not limited to, ATV’s, (both 3 and 4 wheelers), NEV’s, motorized scooters, motorized bicycles, mini-bikes, sling shot trikes, dune buggies, hoverboards, personal golf carts and utility vehicles.”

Can't say I known anything about resorts up north
I rarely use resorts down here
But the campgrounds I have been TOO
I don't see any kids on segways or folding electric bikes
They do like skate boards, bicycles, even those electric unicycle things
Parks do have rules for safety etc
But I see no effective difference between a folding electric scooter
And those take apart electric ride on scooter board's with a seat and basket
That were so popular with ageing RV'rs a few years back

Yes, and the park rules at most parks say the only powered devices allowed are licensed insured vehicles and mobility aids for handicapped individuals.

Many of them specifically prohibit hover boards, Segways and electric bikes and scooters because they’re way to attractive to kids that just want to buzz around on them potentially endangering themselves and others or pets.

I got an electric razor scooter with a seat and basket from the Home Depot web site for 250 dollars, When we take the grandkids with us it is a battle for grandpa to get it away from the grandkids so I can ride it,,,,
