Electrical Question

I have reservations at Sebastian State Park and I am concerned about a notation made in their general information. They state that during peak periods that there could be surging in the electrical source which is 30 amp. Don't like admitting my lack of information, but is there anything I should or can do to protect my MH from this and if so what. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think that the state park is just making a cover their butt statement. There is nothing nearby that would cause unusual power surges. Not sure that the park even has 50 amp service. I know that there are only 5 sites with sewer hookups.

I appreciate everyone's feedback. After reading some of the comments on surge protector's in the Tech area, I am even more confused (I'm entitled, I'm female). I plan on purchasing the Progressive PT30C. My next question, is do I need to be concerned about anything other than plugging it in? I also liked the gentleman's suggestion about the 30 amp cord to keep the plug out of site for security reasons - is this a safe thing to do? Once again thank you all.

Progressive industries is the best. I've had one for years. Wouldn't be without it.

Oh that doesn't sound good.
A basic or common surge protector is meant to stop sudden, extremely short duration spikes of very high voltage and wont do anything for a prolonged (more than a fraction of a second) voltage surge. This kind of unit wont shut down when a slightly high voltage is present - that's what the better units do.
Something like the progressive industries unit would save you from this kind problem.
